Hey, fellow marketers!
Over the years, I've managed close to 1 million USD in ad spend per month sending traffic from Facebook on Nutra and Gambling offers. This guide will show you how to farm accounts and send that juicy traffic to all of your businesses (can work for both white, grey and black hat ads).
I used to send this guide to my media buyers and farming teams whenever we onboard new people. Since I am now focusing on building a SaaS business, it’s no longer needed for me to keep a secret.
Step 0: Get your setup ready.
Even before creating a Facebook account, you need to ensure you have the right setup. It boils down to:
Anti-detect browser
Proxies
Cookies
For the first, we use Multilogin, however, other alternatives should be fine.
For proxies use only residential or mobile proxies. Datacenter doesn’t work. We use https://nodemaven.com proxies – I have tried many and these make accounts last longer, albeit can be slow sometimes. You can find a lot of alternatives on Google btw.
For cookies, you have to crawl websites where Facebook has its scripts placed to build up cookie history (yes, even before creating an account). I use this website to find these websites: https://whotracks.me/trackers/facebook.html. You can crawl them manually or use CookieRobot to automate the process. We did crawling for 15-30 minutes a day for 2 days and then let it sit for 2 more days.
Step 1: Start Slow and Farm One Account at a Time
Once you got the unique profiles with a proxy and farmed cookies, create an account on Facebook.
For a profile picture use this: https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/
For email, we create GMails with the help of https://smspva.com service.
Begin with a single Facebook account and focus on farming it effectively. Aim for a balance between automation and manual activity, as manual actions tend to perform better. Allocate approximately 10 minutes per day for activity on each account to create a user history.
Step 2: Build Account History and Warm Up
Engage in activities such as commenting, sharing posts, and other interactions to establish a user history on the account. After about one week, create a Facebook page associated with the account. Post engaging content, including images and videos, and ensure your page has a cover photo and profile picture. This step helps warm up the account and increase its credibility.
Step 3: Run Low-Budget Ads for Seven Days
Create a Facebook page-like ad with a budget of $1 per day and let it run for seven days. This initial low-budget ad campaign helps establish a 14-day ad account history without significant spending, costing approximately $35 to $50 per ad account. Aim for at least 8 out of 10 accounts to be live and active after this step.
Step 4: Scale Up with Traffic Campaigns
Following the successful completion of Step 3, proceed to create a traffic campaign with a budget of $3 to $5 per day and run it for seven days. This campaign further strengthens the ad account history and helps identify the most effective strategies. At this stage, you'll have a clearer idea of which accounts are performing well and ready for scaling.
Step 5: Conversion Campaigns and Scaling
After two weeks of warming up the account and running successful traffic campaigns, create a conversion (money) campaign (grey, white, or black) with a budget of $30 to $50. Gradually scale this campaign as it gains traction and delivers desired results. Treat this process as a manufacturing endeavor, nurturing the accounts before scaling them up to maximize effectiveness.
Banned accounts asking for photo ID
When you can use accounts that were banned by reinstating them. Not many people know but Facebook doesn’t check if the ID is valid or not. You can use automated tools to generate these IDs and it is likely Facebook will accept it.
Here’s an example: https://gamitisa.com/cards/fbid/
Important to note that it did not work in specific geos for my teams, like Switzerland and Norway. Might not work in others as well. However, should work in most of them.
The best part is that now this account can lose much longer because it was “proven” to be real.
Should you buy pre-farmed accounts?
TL;DR never!
While some marketers choose to purchase accounts, I prefer farming accounts due to the campaign confidentiality associated with them. Many times my friends found evidence that these account sellers steal your campaigns and creatives. Agency accounts often restrict Black Hat or Grey Hat practices, which are essential for certain campaigns. By farming accounts ourselves, we maintain control, avoid leaks, and can optimize our strategies freely.
Account Farming Best Practices and Additional Tips
Avoid running any ads or activities in a newly created account for the first 48 hours to minimize the risk of blocks.
Use only one domain or URL per account to prevent potential blocks and account restrictions.
Adhere to the rule of creating a maximum of three campaigns per 24 hours based on your account's time zone to avoid raising red flags.
Moderating comments is crucial; negative comments affect the quality score of your account. Hide or block such comments to improve ad results and the account's quality score.
Recent Facebook updates prioritize the matching of ad content with the topic and category of your Facebook page. Ensure your page aligns with the ads you run to increase relevance and minimize the risk of account blocks.
Warm up your Facebook page by posting relevant content and generating 100 to 200 likes. Obtain a few positive reviews using different profiles to strengthen your page's reputation.
Always use quality, reinstated Facebook users with two-factor authentication to access your accounts.
Losing access to a user may lead to spending without the ability to optimize or make changes.
