I recently checked out a free proxy list from Hidemium and wanted to share a quick take. If anyone wants to explore it, you can find it here: free proxy list
Free proxies are useful if you need to hide your IP, test tools, or access restricted content. From what I’ve seen, Hidemium’s list is updated regularly and includes multiple proxy types (HTTP, SOCKS5) with filtering by country and anonymity level, which makes it easier to find something usable quickly .
That said, free proxies always come with trade-offs. They can be unstable, slower, and many IPs are already overused or flagged. If you’re running ads or managing accounts on platforms like Facebook, TikTok, or Amazon, relying on free proxies can increase the risk of bans.
In my opinion, free proxies are fine for testing, scraping small data, or temporary setups. But for anything long-term or business-related, they’re usually not reliable enough.
Curious to hear from others:
- Have you ever scaled anything using free proxies?
- Or do you only use them for testing?
